Scary experience
I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to write about for my next topic, I had a few ideas floating around my head but then I had a terrifying experience yesterday and felt like I should write about that.
I went out to lunch with a friend yesterday and when I left our house the weather was horrible snowing, windy and poor visibility and the roads weren't in good shape either, but as I got closer to town it cleared up and was sunny so that was that. I was heading back home and the roads were pretty slushy and not in the greatest shape and all of a sudden my car started swerving and was heading towards the on coming traffic, my first instinct was the break but I knew that wouldn't do me any good so I concentrated on staying on my side of the road as much as I could. I guess in that process I ended up a little too close to the shoulder and hit some more slush and before I knew it I was rolling down a bank. It litterley all happened so fast I still can't believe it. It landed on its side with the drivers side facing upwards. When it stopped rolling I was still conscious so I took my seat belt off and stood up, my first thought was I needed to call my husband, I was only about 5 minutes from home so knew he would be there quick. When I stood up I could get out because the door was too heavy for me to hold open and get out at the same time. There was already a gold there calling 911 and thankfully withing a few seconds there was a few men there and they helped me get out.
The whole thing happened so fast it really gives a new meaning to "things can happen in a blink of an eye". I thankfully managed to get out of it without any serious injuries just mild whiplash, killer headaches and some bruises. Its ironic too because we always see people who swerve off the roads and into ditches and such but you never think that something like that will happen to you. Needless to say I am extremely thankful and grateful that it wasn't any worse then it was.
Here are two pictures that I have of my car, doesn't show all the damage but gives you an idea.

New Year, new blog!
Hello there, long time no see. I have been VERY neglectful of this blog and I had been thinking about it a lot lately and wanted to get back into. When I first started this blog it was meant to be basically make-up and beauty related because those re someof my major interests, however I just couldn't seem to get into writing about it on a regular basis which is why this palce kind of died. I didn't want to go through making a whole new blog so I am taking this same one and its going to be more of a "my life" sort of blog, I'll still be writing about beauty and make-up because I do love it and its largely in my life, however I want to write about many more topics that are relevant in my daily life, other things I love and enjoy as well as just some posts about feelings/venting and anything else that I have an urge to share. So thank you for reading and I do hope you enjoy, and now onto my first real topic for the new year, and how fitting my New Years resolutions.
Get into better shape. I have been very neglectful lately with healthy eating habbits and exercising on a regular babis. I'm not "dieting" I want to work on making better decisions on a daily basis, I don't plan on completely cutting out anything bad from my diet, been there, done that didn't work. I do really well a few weeks makybe even months and then I just get tired of "wanting" certain foods. This year I want to actively try and make healthier choices and if some evening I get a craving for sweets or an unhealthy snack and not deprive myself, I know this will keep me on track more. I use to aslo be really good with working out 3-4 times a week, Ive done bootcamps before and just the gym as well and I feel so much better when I do that. I want to loose about 20-25 pounds but for me this time it isn't all about the number I want to feel healthier and lead a better lifestyle.
Work on my photogyaphy. My biggest passion if photography and one day I hope to be well enough established to have it as my career, but I know I have a long ways to go yet for that to happen. When I decided to take it seriously last year I had a decent amount of free time so I figured it was as good as time as any, and then I started a new job where I had a lot less time to devout to it. I've done a few shoots here and there and love landscape photography but I want to make it a point to elarn more about it this year and make more timeforit in general.
Become more organized around the home. I will admit I am a pack rat,I keep things because I might need/use them sometime in the future. I've always been like this but lately been getting better with it, I've already gotten rid of multiple garbage bags of stuff that I just plain and simple do not need and have many more yet to go. We have two back rooms and one is manily just all extra stuff there is no room for an my main goal is to have that all cleaned out. I keep my house very clean but want to have all the access clutter gone, it will make it look so much nicer and more spacious.
These are what I have decided upon as my " New Years Resolutions". I have that in quotatins because when I think of people who talk about thier resolutions they usually have a huge unrealistic list of things they know will never get done, I myself am guilty of doing this before too. This year I wanted to actually work on making a lot of changes in my life, so therefore I'll be calling them my resolutions for lack of better wording I suppose.

There you have it, my 3 resolutions for 2013. I want to make this year one of my best yet because 2012 wasn't all that great for me and a lot of the reasons for that are things I am able to change and work on so here is to a new year!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
" Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared off the secluded island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger family. There was no corpse, no witnesses, no evidence. But her uncle, Henrik, is convinced that she was murdered by someone from her own deeply dysfunctional family. Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist is hired to investigate, but he quickly finds himself in over his head. He hires a competent assistant: the gifted and conscience-free computer specialist Lisbeth Salander, and the two unravel a dark and appalling family history. But the Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves "
I've been putting off reading this book for a while because I'd heard so many good things about it, but yet it just didn't seem like something I would enjoy. I finally caved and I couldn't put it down! The first 40-50 pages are a little hard to get through, it basically gives you background info and info on some of the characters, but once you get past that the pace picks up so much and you just can't stop reading. Once I got going I had the book finished in about two and a half days, I definitely wish I had read this sooner, but better late then never. If you haven't read this book you absolutely need to read it, you won't be disappointed.

Meet Rocco!
We have both wanted to get a puppy for quite sometime, until last July we lived in a small apartment so we knew it would have to wait. Once we were settled in our place we started looking round, we checked the humane society and kijiji at least a few times a week and would stop into the humance society when we were in that area. Late fall we were there on a Saturday afternoon (they are closed Sundays) and we fell in love with a 2 month old lab puppy. Sadly by the time we could find out any information she was sold :( we kind of put of the search and then I randomly checked on kijiji one day and we saw a breeder had 1 golden retriever left, so we jumped on that right away. This was him at 5 weeks old when we went to see him.
How adorable was he! We fell in love basically and put down a deposit for him right away. He was so good and just cuddled in my arm the whole time we were there, I couldn't wait to get him home with us. We picked him up on December 10th, he was a couple days shy of being 7 weeks old. This was him and I his first day home <3
He is now 18 weeks old, and we have had him for 11 weeks. He has come so far, and as frusterating as it can be trying to train him we love him so much and can't imagine now having him. He is now house trained, he hasn;t had an accident in about a month now, our major problem is he liked to bite our hands/arms. Won't bite furnature or shoes, just us :/ but hopefully as he continues to grow this will slowly go away. Now on to show him off some more, Ill just post some pictures, starting with yougest ones and ending in his more recent portrait which is about a week or so old.

Maybelline dream bouncy blush
Todays product I want to talk about is the Maybelline dream bouncy blush. I only have one color, and I've only had it for a few days but I felt I needed to discuss it. I've been hearing about these blushes quite a bit since they first came out, and pretty well everyone has had a different opinion on them. I've been putting off getting them just in case I didn't like it because when we first got them here they were $11, which to me is quite pricey for a small drugstore blush. The other day I was at Wal Mart and noticed they finally had them and they were only $7 so I figured what the heck. I got the shade Peach Satin #20
One thing I heard from many people was that they are very sheer, so I wanted to get a bit of a darker shade just to make sure I would get at least a little pigmentation. As soon as I saw this shade I knew I wanted this one it just looked like such a pretty color. One thing to mention as the name says they are "bouncy" when you press down on them they will bounce back up, not fully though, I try to refrain from pressing too hard to keep it from look terrible. I just lightly take my figure and swirl the top and apply it with my figure as well.
It's such a gorgeous peachy/coral color, and it is so light weight. It goes on as a cream and dries to a powder like consistancy and feels so smooth on your face. I personally was surprised with the pigmentation of it, I haven't had any probems with it. I put on one layer if I want a really subtle flush or two layers if I want it a little more noticable.
Thin layer on my hand
Thicker layer on my arm
Over all Im really enjoying this blush, I went into it with very little expextation since I'd heard so many mixed reviews but am very happy with it, I will probably get a couple more of the darker shades.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV
Hey guys! Today I want to talk about Urban Decays Book of Shadows IVI ordered this quite q while ago when it was on sale on Hautelook, I believe I got it for $26. They have it on sale now for $44 at urbandecay. com with an original price of $64. Ive always been a HUGE fan of thier eyeshadows so when I seen this on sale I had to jump at it. With this product you get 16 gorgeous eyeshadows (10 which are new colors),a full-size 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion and a travel-size Supercurl Curling Mascara. It also comes with a portable speaker and how-to videos ( barcodes to use with your phone).
Such pretty packaging!
Eyeshadows are- Blue Bus, Gunmetal, Cobra, baked, Bender, Gravity, Lost, Hijack, Midnight cowgirl, Sin, Midnight Rodeo, Crystal, Bust, Missionary, Skimp, Zypher.
I love this palette, the colors are gorgeous they go on so smooth and have such a nice sheen to them. If you want more of a matte look then this isn't the right product for you. All the colors are really pigmented and if used with a primer underneath will last all day long with no creasing. I already have thier primer potion in full size which I love so will be good to have another, a little goes a long way. I haven't used the mascara yet because im working on getting some of my others used up at the moment but I have tried the eye liner and I must say I really love it. It has a brush applicator which I find easier to work with then felt tip ones, since getting this it has actually gotten me back into eyeliner. All in all I love this and definitley glad to have it in my collection.
