The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

" Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared off the secluded island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger family. There was no corpse, no witnesses, no evidence. But her uncle, Henrik, is convinced that she was murdered by someone from her own deeply dysfunctional family. Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist is hired to investigate, but he quickly finds himself in over his head. He hires a competent assistant: the gifted and conscience-free computer specialist Lisbeth Salander, and the two unravel a dark and appalling family history. But the Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves "

I've been putting off reading this book for a while because I'd heard so many good things about it, but yet it just didn't seem like something I would enjoy. I finally caved and I couldn't put it down! The first 40-50 pages are a little hard to get through, it basically gives you background info and info on some of the characters, but once you get past that the pace picks up so much and you just can't stop reading. Once I got going I had the book finished in about two and a half days, I definitely wish I had read this sooner, but better late then never. If you haven't read this book you absolutely need to read it, you won't be disappointed.

Meet Rocco!

We have both wanted to get a puppy for quite sometime, until last July we lived in a small apartment so we knew it would have to wait. Once we were settled in our place we started looking round, we checked the humane society and kijiji at least a few times a week and would stop into the humance society when we were in that area. Late fall we were there on a Saturday afternoon (they are closed Sundays) and we fell in love with a 2 month old lab puppy. Sadly by the time we could find out any information she was sold :( we kind of put of the search and then I randomly checked on kijiji one day and we saw a breeder had 1 golden retriever left, so we jumped on that right away. This was him at 5 weeks old when we went to see him.

How adorable was he! We fell in love basically and put down a deposit for him right away. He was so good and just cuddled in my arm the whole time we were there, I couldn't wait to get him home with us.  We picked him up on December 10th, he was a couple days shy of being 7 weeks old.  This was him and I his first day home <3

He is now 18 weeks old, and we have had him for 11 weeks. He has come so far, and as frusterating as it can be trying to train him we love him so much and can't imagine now having him. He is now house trained, he hasn;t had an accident in about a month now, our major problem is he liked to bite our hands/arms. Won't bite furnature or shoes, just us :/ but hopefully as he continues to grow this will slowly go away. Now on to show him off some more, Ill just post some pictures, starting with yougest ones and ending in his more recent portrait which is about a week or so old.

His favorite way to sleep lol

My baby <3

Finally his latest, he is 18 weeks an weighs about 40 pounds, he's going to be a monster lol

Maybelline dream bouncy blush

Todays product I want to talk about is the Maybelline dream bouncy blush. I only have one color, and I've only had it for a few days but I felt I needed to discuss it. I've been hearing about these blushes quite a bit since they first came out, and pretty well everyone has had a different opinion on them. I've been putting off getting them just in case I didn't like it because when we first got them here they were $11, which to me is quite pricey for a small drugstore blush. The other day I was at Wal Mart and noticed they finally had them and they were only $7 so I figured what the heck. I got the shade Peach Satin #20

One thing I heard from many people was that they are very sheer, so I wanted to get a bit of a darker shade just to make sure I would get at least a little pigmentation. As soon as I saw this shade I knew I wanted this one it just looked like such a pretty color. One thing to mention as the name says they are "bouncy" when you press down on them they will bounce back up, not fully though, I try to refrain from pressing too hard to keep it from look terrible. I just lightly take my figure and swirl the top and apply it with my figure as well.

It's such a gorgeous peachy/coral color, and it is so light weight. It goes on as a cream and dries to a powder like consistancy and feels so smooth on your face. I personally was surprised with the pigmentation of it, I haven't had any probems with it. I put on one layer if I want a really subtle flush or two layers if I want it a little more noticable.

 Thin layer on my hand

Thicker layer on my arm

Over all Im really enjoying this blush, I went into it with very little expextation since I'd heard so many mixed reviews but am very happy with it, I will probably get a couple more of the darker shades.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV

Hey guys! Today I want to talk about Urban Decays Book of Shadows IVI ordered this quite q while ago when it was on sale on Hautelook, I believe I got it for $26. They have it on sale now for $44 at urbandecay. com with an original price of $64. Ive always been a HUGE fan of thier eyeshadows so when I seen this on sale I had to jump at it. With this product you get 16 gorgeous eyeshadows (10 which are new colors),a full-size 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion and a travel-size Supercurl Curling Mascara. It also comes with a portable speaker and how-to videos ( barcodes to use with your phone).

Such pretty packaging!

Eyeshadows are- Blue Bus, Gunmetal, Cobra, baked, Bender, Gravity, Lost, Hijack, Midnight cowgirl, Sin, Midnight Rodeo, Crystal, Bust, Missionary, Skimp, Zypher.

I love this palette, the colors are gorgeous they go on so smooth and have such a nice sheen to them. If you want more of a matte look then this isn't the right product for you. All the colors are really pigmented and if used with a primer underneath will last all day long with no creasing. I already have thier primer potion in full size which I love so will be good to have another, a little goes a long way. I haven't used the mascara yet because im working on getting some of my others used up at the moment but I have tried the eye liner and I must say I really love it. It has a brush applicator which I find easier to work with then felt tip ones, since getting this it has actually gotten me back into eyeliner.  All in all I love this and definitley glad to have it in my collection.

Mac Creamblend Blush

Hey guys! I know ive been terrible with posting but Im seriously going to try and be better with it, Ive got a lot of great products I want to share as well as various other topics I want to talk about. Todays product I want to talk about are M.A.C Creamblend blushes! I only have 2 and I've only had them for just about a month and they have quickly become my favorites.

As the name of thm suggest they are a cream blush which turns into a powder like consistancy when blended into your cheeks. Restores Dazzle! is a rich plum color, which looks scary in the pan but you can blend it out into a lovely sheer plum color or if you like a deep really noticable blush it is easy to build up. For me personally it is more of an evening color, I tend to stick with lighter colors for everyday use, which takes me to So Sweet, So Easy. This is a bright yellow pink and I adore it. It is the perfect color for everyday wear, its such a nice pink color that really just adds a nice natural blush color to your cheeks. If you are a person who really likes your blush to stand out and be the focal point of your face it is really easy to build up as well. I definitley reccomed giving these a try, I definitley plan to pick up a few more colors!
